Kevin van Rensburg

Tennis Professional

Kevin is a native of South Africa. He was the No. 1-ranked Intercollegiate player in 1990-91 and captain of the Free State Provincial team during the South African National Championships from 1995-2000. In 1995-1996 he was a member of the Federation Cup Management team during the Federation Cup ties between South Africa and Bulgaria and in 1996 with Belgium.

Since moving to the United States in 2000, Kevin has been a teaching professional at Kings Highway Tennis Club in Darien, Shippan Racquet Club in Stamford and Proform Tennis Academy in Rye Brook. He has coached two USTA ladies teams to Nationals (one team coming in 2nd at the National Championships in 2004).

In 2013, he was a part of a 4.5 USTA Men's team that qualified for Nationals. In 2014 he was part of a 9.0 Mixed Team that qualified for Nationals in Hawaii.

Kevin is formerly the Director of Tennis at Rock Ridge Country Club and Director of Tennis at Noroton Yacht Club. In 2015 at Proform Tennis Academy in Rye Brook New York, Kevin was Director of Summer Programs and in 2015-2016 he was also Director of Junior Development Fall/Winter.

Kevin is PTR certified and his hobbies include woodworking and photography/videography. Kevin became a U.S. Citizen in 2012.
